Recapping NYCWFF 2024
Cork Collective was honored to be the Sustainability Partner for the 17th annual Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival, which took place on the Brooklyn waterfront from October 17-20. During the 4-day event, custom collection bins placed around the festival served as drop off locations for natural cork stoppers gathered by wine and spirits sponsors, participating talent, and the 45,000 festival attendees.
Rockwell Group designed a cork booth for the event, fabricated by the Brooklyn-based New Project, with wine donated by Jackson Family Wines and Rodney Strong Vineyards. Cork Collective ambassadors provided on-site education about its mission. Cork Collective founders David Rockwell and Lee Schrager were joined by restaurateur Melba Wilson to toast the nonprofit’s first festival appearance. In addition, visitors were offered the chance to win tickets to the festival’s Grand Tasting. Almost 100 eager participants entered the raffle, and 12 lucky winners walked away with tickets.
